If you are considering adding a dog to your family, we encourage you to do extensive research to determine which breed is the correct breed/s for your family. Doing some homework up front will give you a better idea of whether a dog is the right breed for you and may help you find a responsible, ethical breeder or rescue.

The Greater Fort Myers Dog Club does not endorse specific breeders or litters of puppies and maintains no involvement in agreements between buyers and sellers.

Inclusion in this referral list is not a guarantee of quality, ability or health.  It is our way of helping the community to get information about specific breeds. It is always prudent to discuss health, training and temperament issues with breeders, judges or knowledgeable fanciers in the breed and to request documentation of sire and dam’s health clearances which is available to the public on the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals website.
